In 1998, China Association for the Promotion of Investment started the preparation.

In 2004, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd. was approved by the CIRC (China Insurance Regulatory Commission) and officially started constructing.

In 2007, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd., successively acquiring the business-starting official documents issued by the CIRC (China Insurance Regulatory Commission) and the license of the business corporation issues by the Zhejiang Administrative Bureau for Industry and Commerce, declared to open.

In 2008, after the opening of Zhejiang branch and Jiangsu branch, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd. completed the provincial business zones in Beijing, Hebei, Fujian, Henan, Shandong and Heilongjiang, realizing the institutionally strategic layout planning on combining the north and south markets of the Yangtze River Delta and Bohai Bay regions.

In 2009, during the spreading and deepening of financial crisis, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd. responded actively to the CIRC calls by making decisive decisions of strategic transformations on the product and business structure, actively developing and marketing the products of risk protection type and long-term savings type, and achieving the returning of the insurance essence and major works of insurance.

In 2010, Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd. completed four times of capital increase, including the private placement of shares to foreign investors. Japan's Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Co., Ltd. has become the first foreign shareholder for Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd.

In 2011, the first wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinatay Life Insurance Co., Ltd. - Zhejiang Lianchuang Insurance Marketing Co., Ltd., goes into operation, studying and formulating the development plans on "the twelfth five-year plan" as well as implementing the ten construction projects."
